What is a Couples Massage?

When you come in for your appointment, you will both be greeted by your individual massage therapists. From there, the four of you will head to the couples massage room. It’s just like any massage room, except it’s more spacious and has two massage tables.

You will each receive your own pre-consultation from your therapist.  They’ll leave the room to let you both undress to your comfort level, and then you’ll cover yourselves atop the massage tables.  Just like with any massage, the session will be tailored to your needs.  You and your partner are sharing the room, but you’ll both receive a personalized massage.  The therapists aren’t going to mimic one another and do the exact same techniques in synchrony.  Your therapist could be working your back, while the other works on your partner’s legs.

When the session comes to an end, you can get up and get dressed at your own pace as soon as the therapists leave.  Crack the door open when you’re both decent, and the therapists will hand you some water before giving the post-consultations.  It ends just like a non-couples massage, except there’s four people hanging around instead of two.

For lovers, friends, or moms and daughters, couples massage is a great way to celebrate an occasion, introduce a loved one to the benefits of massage, or just spend some quality time together. Our Date Night Package can either be a 60 mins or 90 mins Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage with Hot Stone Massage. Choice of non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage and charcuterie box (option of lactose free or vegan upon request). At least 72 hours of notice for this package and deposit is required to reserve appointments.

Reservation and Cancelation Policy

Couples massage and couples massage packages require more than one service provider, so we highly recommend booking well in advance. We would be happy to assist with scheduling couples massage or couples massage package. Contact us at 256-620-1554 for scheduling or any questions.

A credit card number is required when booking any couples massage packages at Elite Massage Therapists. When booking a couple’s massage package, a $50 deposit is required to hold the reservation. A 72-hour notice of cancelation is expected for a complete refund of the deposit. A 48-hour cancelation will result in forfeiture of the deposit but no additional fees. Less than 24-hour notice will result in a fee of 100% of the service value. Failure to cancel by the time of the appointment will result in a fee of 100% of the service value.
